NEW photography for Charles Endirect, a family-run company in Somerset who manufacture electrical equipment primarily for street lighting. I spent time in the factory annoying the skilled engineers going about their intricate work. The weight of each sheet of steel is 22kg, the trolley being pushed is loaded with 15 sheets, these guys are strong and metal working experts. The machines they use to score, drill, turn and bend the steel to create the electrical housing products are complex feats of engineering in their own right.
